Scholars Day

Scholars Day, which is an effort of the Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Achievement office, was this week at Baylor. On Tuesday, the humanities and social science students gave their papers and presentations and on Thursday, the science students put up their poster displays. I was very excited about attending Scholars Day, because one of the political science students who was presenting is a bright junior who had made an appointment with me last semester to find resources for the very paper she was giving! Also, I swear I recognized one of the science poster topics as a reference question I got while at “Librarians on the Loose” in the Baylor Science Building earlier this semester.

It’s not often that reference librarians get to see the end result of the service we provide, so it was great to see these two fantastic research projects in their final state, and the students getting recognition for their hard work.
